Tern attend prestigious Shropshire Business Awards
On 14th June Tern’s Director, Gary Edwards, attended the prestigious Shropshire Business Awards ceremony – heralded as Shropshire’s Business Oscars. The event, held this year at the International Centre in Telford, was attended by almost 700 people from firms across the county, including special guest, Paralympian Tanni Grey-Thompson, who gave a 20 minute speech on her career.
Tern were shortlisted as a finalist in the Small Business of the Year category, beating off strong competition to reach the final four in our first year participating in the Awards.
Eleven awards were handed out across the course of a glittering, glamorous night, with Grocontinental based in Whitchurch, receiving the Company of the Year award for a second time.
The ceremony was the 13th in the history of the awards, which were launched in 2001, and Richard Sheeham of the Shropshire Chamber, praised the “extraordinary enthusiasm and innovation” on display.
Unfortunately Tern were pipped at the post to become Small Business of the Year but we would like to congratulate all of the worthy winners and look forward to being part of this fantastic event next year.
